Almay Class of 2018

Makeup, FashionRachel LinetteComment

I'm ecstatic to announce, for those that don't follow me on Instagram, that I'm a part of the Almay Class of 2018!

Almay has been changing the name of the game since 1931. Not only is it a hypoallergenic, fragrance-free cosmetic line, but Almay doesn’t conduct tests on animals — and it hasn’t for 20 years. So, when I was asked to be a part of Almay's new journey, their new look, it was easy to say yes to.

I got to play with their new cosmic line, or as I've dubbed it, unicorn heaven, and had so much fun getting my hands on all the bright shades, all the sparkle and that jelly highlight! Perfect for Spring and Summer (or anytime you feel like rocking a bright eyeshadow).

My favs?

The Shadow Squad Eyeshadow Holographic in Pegasus--because I never normally do a bold eye, but these colors were so buildable and easy to blend. Throw on a little eyeliner and some black mascara and I was set for the day.

The Goddess Gloss in...all of the shades. The best best part about these? That they're pigmented enough to sparkle on their own but their also meant to be layered over lipstick. Talk about unicorn feels. Throw Halo over any shade of lipstick you own and you instantly have a out of this world, prismatic feel to any look.

Make Them Jelly Hi-Lite in Mermaid Magic. As if the name wasn't cool enough, this is one of those products that, upon opening, you have to touch and once you're done playing with it, the application process is super easy. This highlight doesn't so much give you a strobe effect, but what it does do is provide a dewey finish with a sparkle finish. Since I'm all about a natural glow, this was perfect for me!
