An evening of dancing, drinks and revelry at Night in the Stacks, the annual fundraiser hosted by the Chicago Public Library Foundation Junior Board and Chicago Public Library.
Proceeds from the event help benefit programs, including the Maker Lab, Summer Learning Challenge, CyberNavigator computer tutors, and more.
In 2016, Night in the Stacks raised $175,000 to support programs at Chicago Public Library!
Tim and I went last year, 2016, for the first time, and had a blast so as soon as the invite came our way this year we made our donation and I went dress shopping.
This years theme was "Garden of the Curious" so I was looking for something soft, romantic and old timey when I came upon this scalloped lace sheath dress.
It's always tricky buying a dress online, and though I'd heard of DressBarn I'd never before gotten a dress from there, but there was something so sweet and elegant about the dress that I had to have it.
**As with most dresses for me, it fit perfectly on my chest but was definitely more loose on my waist then shown on the model so it definitely RUNS BIG. Be warned.
My headpiece was the same one I wore on my wedding day from Forever 21 (that I can not find anywhere on the site) and my shoes are Kelly & Katie (that are now completely destroyed after a night of dancing. I picked them up at DSW last year but was only able to still find them on Amazon).
After a night out on the town, we are spending the weekend recovering, playing video games and snuggling Mimi.
